The three summits Hochries- Wendelstein- Kampenwand awaits your exploration. You can reach the summit by either hiking uphill or taking the rack railway, cable car or chair lift. No matter which option you choose, the experience will be unforgettable.

The Three Summits:
The original Three Summits Kampenwand (Aschau i. Chiemgau), Hochries (Samerberg) and Wendelstein (Brannenburg) have been joined by the Hocheck (Oberaudorf) mountain in 2008. When purchasing a Three Summit card you can save one up- and downhill ride at any of the four participating mountain railways.

Neubeuern offers an ideal starting point for your day trips. Within 100km you can find the most diverse excursion possibilities. The Bavarian capital city of Munich and the Mozart town Salzburg are within 30 minute reach.

After a 20km drive you reach the Chiemsee. The ships of the Chiemsee fleet will ferry you across to the famous Herreninsel with King Ludwig II’s castle. Worth a visit is also its neighbor island, the Fraueninsel with the Benedictine’s abbey.

Open air swimming pools and lakes

Open air swimming pools:
Located at a distance of about 25km you can find the “Badria” pools in Wasserburg or the “Prienavera” pools at Lake Chiemsee offering an exciting and diversified day to everyone. Another unforgettable experience is an excursion to the famous “Alpamare” in Bad Tölz, which can be reached within 45 minutes from Neubeuern. If you prefer a spa day with sauna and wellness you can visit the thermal baths in Bad Aibling newly opened in 2008.

Swimming Lakes:
If water is your element then our region is the perfect location for you. Directly next to our village is the popular open air swimming lake Neubeuern offering a variety of sports activities. In 3km distance you can find Lake Reischenhart with its well-kept sunbathing lawn. Additionally there is Lake Hochstraßer in 3 km distance with a small sandy beach and a beautiful area for sunbathing.

Winter Sports

Ice skating and Ice stock sport
Winter time is also a good time to visit Neubeuern. Experience an active holiday in our region’s the cold season. Lake Neubeuern is the perfect location to ice skate or ice stock. And even if the lake is not frozen up you can drive to ice rinks in 15 minutes, either in Rosenheim or Bad Aibling. Another highlight is the roofed ice rink “Hallo Du” in Ebbs.

Alpin Skiing
For skiers in all levels nearby Sudelfeld ist he perfect location. Practised skiers will be challenged by the slopes of the Wendelstein. Another attractive ski resort is Hocheck in Oberaudorf offering Germany’s longest floodlit slope. And last but not least there is the Kampenwand with its unforgettable mogul slope. All destinations are equipped with comfortable chalets.

What is a snowy winter without sledding? If this is your sport you will find interesting destinations in our region like for example Hocheck in Oberaudorf. Cross-country skiing, classic and skating slopes can be found in our neighbouring community Samerberg, in the Sachrang valley or in nearby Tyrol.
